why not use a few washers to raise it up a little bit?

the brake booster is unbolted in those pics.. it sits back so the bar goes directly over the hole and cap... it would need to be raised about half an inch to clear it.. and if you do that it will not clear the other parts of the cowl pieces...ill play with it more tomorrow

Washers would have been a bad idea anyway. A better idea would have been a custom spacer the same shape as the brace end.

I'll do what the Cutlass Conv. 3.4'* bars were modified from teh factory: They were notched where the intake would hit it.

I'm gonna order it, and notch it. If it don't work, make it work!

Notching will weaken it. Even if you close off the notch with a welded in piece of steel. The bar is strong due to it'* tubular shape. If the bar flexes because you weaken it, the bar won't serve it'* intended purpose.

a weakened bar is probably still better than no bar.

Would an older brake booster work and clear better?
Alot of GP turbo guys switch to newer brake booster to get more room for a turbo DP.
They just get them from ED for pretty cheap.

even just changing the fluid reservoir to an d=older style might do the trick too
