Default Cheap Intake off of Ebay

Hey guys how does this Intake look. It'* on ebay for 39.05. I know the old you get what you pay for, but Ihave also heard some folks making their own stuff fiarly inexpensively.

crap. the full length radius will look bad under the hood. i've never heard of T-303 Alum, but i bet it'* thin (which is a bad thing as thin metel will transfer heat to the inside of the pipe quicker than a thick pipe)

Looks too short. Short Ram intakes on the 3800 don't work too well. You need full length, and get that filter right behind the intake. That wide application list means it won't be the perfect fit. It'* a cheap universal.

stick around, there are lots of ways to make one almost just as cheap that will fit your car much better.

Very soon I'll write up directions on how to make an intake I came up with. I want to wait until I can get pics of them installed first though...which should be a week hopefully. I wouldn't go with that ebay one, even if it'* $40, IMO. You'll want the filter up as far as you can get it (I had to detach the hood ajar sensor on mine ) and then make a heat shield/box (CAI) so you're not sucking in hot air.
