For a grand, you could get roller rockers and a cam, (from www.seriesoneperformance.com) plus gaskets... maybe pop for some springs, plus the stuff above, that'd be about $1500.

What kind of horsepower gain would that give me? Also what are the stock horsepower ratings for my car? Isn't it like 240 or something?

I'm not trying to be a butthead at all but upgrading engine internals seem to be a bit too intricate at this point. I'm totally guessing that your mechanical skills are somewhat unhoned if you are asking what a t-stat is.
You could certainly pay to have them installed if that'* the route you want to go but that budget of yours will go very quickly

Yeah I am only 16 lol... I wasn't planning on fooling with the roller rockers and gaskets or whatever unless I worked with my neighbor who has a big garage and 2 grand nationals and a dragster that he races... Those GRs are SWEEEET, run 11'* on alcohol I think.

I think that'* how most of us have come to be where we are... grab a wrench and dive right in. I'm glad to here you also have someone to rely on. For me, that'* BillBoost37. He keeps me in line. Boosty----------> <--------------randman1

I don't know about just grabbing a wrench and diving right in lol...I'd rather not screw something up or is that kind of diffacult to do if unless you're just absolutely not mechanically inclined?
