Default can anyone suggest the "best tire"

hey,

so you all know how one project is done, another one always sneaks in.... today i saw my tires wearing bad.
Currently I have BF Goodrich'* with 20,000 miles on them, and I was told they would last longer.

Can anyone suggest the best performance tire that puts up with the Bonneville'* power? yes, i know that the SE is not the SSEi, but Everytime i go up a hill with my BFGoodrich Traction T/A'* in the rain, i have to take off really slow. i think we all dont like using the word "slow", it can get depressing. lol

I was thinking Goodyear because theyve always been Best of Breed

I do have pics of the car i've never shown, but im slacking on the photo software...gimme a few days

thanks... Pete F

Potenza G009 - High Performance All Season.
Rated 2nd in the category on www.tirerack.com, and for $82 each (225-60-16). I doubt you could find a better value for this type of tire in my opinion.
I've got them on my SLE (actually temp swapped to the new SSEi), and I'll be getting another set for the other car. They're freakin awesome in snow/ice and rain, and they hold great traction on dry pavement. Like I said, they're amazing for the price, plus I think they look cool too

Goodyears to me have worn out soon, and have an inflated cost.

How your traction T/A'* are giving you issues in the wet I don't know, maybe you're expecting too much out of them, or bad conditions?

For an all season tire they are the best @ wet conditions, turning, starting, and stopping.

They're also a 60k mileage tire. If you're worn too far they'll prorate money towards new tires as well (even other brands).

I would almost suspect something is mis aligned if you blew threw a set of 60k tires in 20k.

--- i did notice the outter edges wearing bad in the front, I went and had the entire front end delt with. it was needing tie rods, but that was back in december. Still, yes im sure that mis alignment had something to do with it.

About those Potenza G009 - High Performance All Season. Im gonna look into those

thanks -pete

Personally ... I tend to like Michelin and Pirelli.

Somehow my tires wear quickly too... wonder if my air freshener has anything to do with that?.. (Tire smoke is the scent )

I recommend these tires in this order.

1. Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position
2. Goodyear Assurance TripleTred
3. Michelin HydroEdge
4. Michelin Pilot Sport A/*

The first two are kinda neck in neck IMO, but the GoodYear is cheaper, I would go with that one over any of em if you're looking for the best value.
