Default CAI in olds 96

i've posted this in a few other fourms trying to get a CAI into my 96 olds i've been told that the black box side by side with the air cleaner is the computer is there a way to make one? i'm not worry about relocating items just really want a CAI or a better looking air filter set-up

I was thinking about routing an air filter ( K&N cone ) under the rad hose and close to the rad fan beyond that i'm thinking of a fender weild intake???

You've got to work on puncuation.

A Rice pipe should work, Spectre 8219 from AutoZone and a K&N E-1009 or RX-4750.

The black box closer to the fender, isn't that the computer? Wouldn't I have to remove that or move it in some fashion?

(there better puncuation )

Another supercharged LSS. I just gutted my air box. What you do is just take the air box out and remove ALL the internals. There is a plastic tube that goes from the front of the air box to the filter. Remove it. The back half of the air box has a flat panel with a tube that goes to the intake tube. Remove that panel, its a restriction made so you can't hear the supercharger. When you get rid of it you will.
Have you run it at the track yet?
Another thing, ZZPerformance is the only place I know of that will burn a PCM for the LSS. So if you're interested in that thats where you'll find it. I'm sure you already know about that bastard 110mph govornor. The PCM will cancil that crazy govorner. How many miles you got? Mines in the sig.

Oh yea, if you gut the air box drop in a K&N filter too.

I'm not too sure if this would work for you, but here is what I did. Several other members have routed their intakes in the same manner.

You can also get a Thrasher Cold Air box and cut it to fit (I have one in my SSE which is identical in computer area (yes, that is the PCM next to the air box) compared to the LSS).
Sorry I don't have any pix -yet.

I was thinking something along these lines and that I could have the computer on the bottom of the box itself to help keep it cool aswell. Is this even possible? this picture is from a monte carlo

or like this??

The fenderwell intake is proven the best (and cheapest), but hyrdolocking the engine is the downside of it, but it can be easily prevented with just a little work.
If you want a CAI, the first pic show'* the best way to go for a CAI -box with PCM tray in it.
