Default Bonneville bumper conversion

I am a ford driver and i drive a 94 Taurus GL. Been looking at bonnevilles and I realy love the front bumper ALOT. The fogs are built in and everything so maybe If i find a cheap front bumper I could bolt it on. Im betting this is a new thing but how does the bumper come off and knowing the bonneville body like u guys do would this be possible with out completely crazy custom work? BTW Im talking about the 92 SSEi Type.

I can get or make brackets if needed but I bet like 10 carriage bolts could do it at least in theory but yall are the experts.

The two cars are different widths, and built different in the front. If ya shaved it down to exactly fit the Taurus, it would look sweet!

The Taurus is basically the same width as the W bodies....Impala, Regal, Monte Carlo and such. The H bodies (Bonneville, PA, Olds 88, Buick LeSabre) are all wider.

if the bumper dosen't fit width wise then don't try it.
You really can't cut the bumper and re connect it. even if you did there would be an immense amount of bodywork involved that would eventually crack b/c it'* on flexible plastic.

Trust me man i spent 5 months recently as a paint line tech at maaco and was around a ton of body work. not to mention all the [email protected] i do to my car.

The cheapest thing to do (if it dosen't fix width wise) is have a bumper custom made.
I'm not saying you can't make it fit, i'm just saying don't think about cutting it in half to change the width.

Also if it is close enough get a good heat gun to bend it to the contors of your car.

Try it out, i'd like to see it.
Hope that helps

Well I can fiberglass decently so maybe I could make a mold of the front at least the fog light part and the cut the bumper and fiberglass it on. Could yall maybe take some pics of the front like alot of differnet angles close up shots mostly. Fiberglass Is actrully feasable for me so I might just try it.

That would be really cool if you made a front bumper styled like the SSE bumpers. You just want the pics posted here or emailed?
