Here is a good comparison of a flowmaster (on my car, the white one) and a magnaflow on willwren'* car (the green one)

i agree, the drone does get annoying after a while. i currently have a magnaflow dual outlet, and i'm thrilled with the sound. real deep and throaty. however, after cruising for a couple of hours, i do start to get a slight headache from the constant low throbbing noise that fills the cabin. would i do it again? in a heartbeat. the looks i get from bystanders at a family sedan that sounds like a V8 makes me glad i upgraded.

I put a bracket right behind my rear seat with a layer of rubber and foam (stuff I had in the garage without buying anything) If I don't decide to switch back to oem, I'll make a nicer one with better material. It helps alot. At 60MPH it is not even noticeable. But put a little boost into it and she'll let you know she'* breathing. (70-75 is the worst, 2k rpm)

I WISH a Magnaflow made it sound like a V8 I happen to like the drone though.

believe me, you still hear plenty of motor NA or SC with flowmaster or magnaflow. SLP, thats a whole different story.

Cool.

But nothing beats a real throaty V8 with dual Magnaflows at WOT.

Same here... I like the sound of whine too much + the sound of stock exhaust flowing is amazing.
