Best Fuel Economy?

I just picked up a 80K mile LOADED 98 SSE and I will be using it for my daily driver. I want to open up the intake and exhaust a bit. At first glance, any CAI or FWI from a GP should work fine. Exhaust on the other hand, from what I have read, unlike the GP the DP/cat-ubend is not the mose restrictive part of the exhaust, the stock manifolds are.

If this is correct I can handle doing all of that. Will the PEMs for a GP still work? I don't see why not but you never know between body styles. If not, where should I pick some up from?

PCM....will an INTENSE PCM harm/hurt economy?

Thanks for the help,

Vinnie

So a Powerlog would be the best performer for the price for this application?

toastedoats 09-08-2006 02:45 PM

is it an L36 or L67?

most people just go with ported front and rear manifolds, a powerlog with a ported rear is also a good way to go

yup and it should be noted that the front is way more restirctive than the Rear Mani

It's the L36. That's exactly what I thought. So where do I pick up PEMs for a Bonne?

there are a few places that do em...Hulkspeed was one but i hear they are either under new ownership or out of business (i cant remember)

there are also some of the MN guys that have a source for PEM's too....

you will need to find a Set of Bonne Mani's first as a core because most of the rears are W bodies
