Default aww, KR

Well I got around to it and went to the GM service part of the dealer I work at and got the GM scan tool and took Char around the block and whadda ya know, KR. Its fine untill I get to around 8 lbs of boost then it hits 4 and counts down to 1 as the engine speeds up.

So I'll have to stay off the boost for a while untill I can either get a 3.5 pulley or get a hi-flo cat put on.

With the cat I cant be POSITIVE that that will get rid of KR and the warrantee might not like me doing that either so its sketchy on whether or not to go for that.

If you have KR @ 8psi of boost but less KR at higher boost (If I'm reading what you said correctly). I would think some of that KR is being caused falsely by something lose under the hood.

I have no clue what could be loose. It just starts at 4 and goes down to 1

Something is not right, if it is pulling KR at 8lbs?
8lbs is about what a 3.8 will do at WOT.
The 3.4 can hit 10 im sure..
something is making a knock sensor think its pinging when it isnt.

i'm not sure that it happens when it hits 8 lbs cause when I was looking I didn't see the boost, I just know it had KR a little after I floored it and it counted down to 1 as it climbed 1rst gear

Your PCM could still be learning the new fuel tables that map sensor is requesting at WOT..
Give it some time..hows your fuel PSI?

But I also think your pcm could still be learning the new found boost.
Also what plugs are you running and whats their gap?

autolite 104s gapped at .55 there were a few types of 104s and I don't remember what kind I got. I have know way of knowing what the fuel psi is, I'm assuming thats in check since the car is fairly new.
