Autozone Rice Pipe?

Autozone Rice Pipe?
Having read previous posts, people said to get the Autozone "Universal Intake" p/n 8202 for the rice pipe. I visited the local Autozone tonight, and they had "Universal Intake" with p/n 8219. Can anyone verify whether the 8219 pipe is like a current version of the 8202 or something? They looked up 8202 on their computer and nothing came up. The full part number is 245770 8219, but the Autozone guy only needed the 8219 part.
After going dual exhaust on my SE, I think it might be time to do the intake. Can you guys with intakes verify that it makes a noticeable difference?

I'll vouch that it makes a noticable difference, but then again I have an L67. By all accounts you will notice a difference in both economy and power on your L36.

dont they have a pep boys where you live? dont pay that high price for that honda intake if you dont need it. Im headed out the door to work, PM me and Ill fill you in on what I mean.

Hey guys, don't forget to search E-bay Motors for intakes also. I bought a complete intake kit, for $40 to my door, for my Ranger. They have many more types and styles for all the Honda and other import and some domestic applications for similar (sometimes even cheaper) prices.
Kinda unbelievable, but the kit included a two-piece polished aluminum tube (almost 1/8" thick), rubber connecting pipes, clamps, IAT and EGR tubes and attachment nipples welded into the pipe, MAF adaptor, and blue K&N style cone filter. Really good quality considering the amazingly low price.
You just have to spend a little time looking at the available routings to match what you need for your car.
I haven't started modding my Bonnie yet, but plan on doing so soon.

Lash, the eBay intakes we've seen are among the worst. Particularly the filters, most of which hold WATER if you fill them. Most of them are also far too short for our application, and leave the filter too exposed.
Ebay intakes are spooky. You don't really know what you're getting until it'* too late.

At NEBF, with the help of Bill and Randy, I put in a Rice Pipe with a K and N filter onto my SE. The filter from AJUSA was $52 and the Pipe was $40.
Installing the intake was actually pretty easy as the K and N has a hole for the IAT (Where it belongs, do -NOT- put the sensor into the holes provided on the pipe!) that just needed to be drilled out. I used a stepping drill bit to find the right depth then drilled out the hole with the proper size. Then it was simply a matter of plugging in the sensor, using a dremmel cutter to cut down the pipe a bit, and installing the whole thing onto the throttle body.
The end result has been a serious increase in acceleration, and what appears to be a far happier car. (It also sounds a hell of alot better too, much more throaty).

As far as the tube, etc., As I stated, it was almost 1/8" thick, highly polished aluminum and in my case fit very well for the routing I needed. Stiil cost me less than $100 for a fine custom intake vs. $270 for the K&N "system" and they didn't have one for my '94 anyway.
I will also agree that, when buying from ebay, the rule should always be "caviat emptor", buyer beware.
