Nitrous is a one time shot and good for a quick accell (like drag racing) but for everyday highway driving its not very practical. Also I dont want to shove NOS through my super charger via the air intake (can kill the MAF). WHen the time comes (and it will) I will use the injector method and spray directly into the cylinders.
And the biggest reason is the transmission, I'm maxed out now and need to look at beefing the thing up before phase 2 of my mod list.

Haha, do I sense some animosity? For real though, it can seriously kill parts if you dont get the whole setup like Pdad said.

Any NOS setup is probably not your best way to go...esp if your car is a daily driver.

I dunno the science behind NOS and whether it has long term effects on your engine, but mixing that into the already explosive combustion chamber doesnt sit to well in my stomach.

It best to explore power in other ways.

NOS = Easy way out...unless you have heavily modded your car and are 100% responsible with it. The only problem is there are to many Fast and the Fumblers out there that drop NOS hits into a stock car to impress...but I'm rambling now

N2O can be VERY dangerous if something goes wrong and the car goes really lean (boom piston). I'd rather deal with something more sturdy and predictible. Also I like the space in the trunk and dont want to have to worry about packing around a bottle

NITROUS IS LIKE A HOT CHICK WITH STDs. YOU REALLY WANT TO HIT IT, BUT YOU'RE AFRAID OF THE CONSEQUENCES

Classic. But it expresses my own feelings about it very well.

The exception to the rule is Allmachtige. He manages his Nitrous use very well, and with a great deal of maturity. Very few people that install it can manage this. Nearly everyone gets greedy sooner or later.

He'* running a very moderate shot, and only at the track.

For all of the reasons above plus living in a remote town where it'* very costly and the availability of a nitrous fill is absent.
