asking dumb questions: Series one NA EGR vs EGRless manifold
The L27 aluminum manifold can be drilled and tapped to accept the L67 stovepipe from a 92/93 SSEi.
I can even give you the dimensions and thread sizes to drill and tap for the stovepipe and clamp.

Marik, Are you going to run the L27 off of the other vans Programming? And I'll take a guess and say the van is another U body? And if so what year will the other van be?

i've not even though too much on how to trick the PCM, i'll probably try and run a PCM off a car that didn't have the EGR to begin with.
as for the car... jeeze i dunno.the money'* gonna go into the engine and transmission and it'll probably take about a year for a low budget guy like me to build it up. the fortunite thing is my friend owns a junkyard. once i have a good motor getting a body to put it in shouldn't cost me more than $40.
looking over the bodies i think i'd like to use like a '91 Oldsmobile Silloutte like this one:

i'd just need the body, and the running gear. most of the parts would be stripped and returned to the junkyard. a non-running 16 year old minivan with no title is really friggin cheap. some serious weight reduction and some wide tires i bet i can get the thing to skitter down the track pretty quick. especially with a bottle fed 3800 pulling it along.

If it'* a calprom based one, we can probably turn the EGR off if we can find a map file for that family of ECM'*.

If he uses the 92-93 PCM it will have a Calprom like the 88-91 Bonnevilles... Not sure pf the diffrences.... But if needed I can come up with several factory CalProm numbers
