Default Anyone done a Poly LCA?

On my GP, nobody makes poly bushings that "fit", but a couple of us on the w-body forum, found some bushings that will fit w/ minor mods. After doing the poly LCA mod, my GP is a whole different animal.

I want to do this on my '01 Aurora. I just need the dims for I.D. of the LCA and such. So I know what busing sizes to look for. If there are none that "work", i'll just order them oversize and turn them down on my lathe at work.

The reason I wan to do this, is my G has 153K on the OD and I need to get those stock ball joints out of there. I also have some minor memory steer that is really annoying. I have new springs, struts, mounts, and bearings up front. I also need to throw on some poly sway bar bushings too. But I want to complete the front end w/ Poly LCA'*.

I do know the front and rear bushings on the GP are different sizes, so I'll need dims for the front and rear bushings.

Does anyone have an extra LCA laying around they can get some meas. off of?

The only good pic I have of the GP'* ready for install.....

I'm innocent. And can't think of anyone with a control arm laying around either.

I looked at doing this the day I bought my Bonne in 05! The LCA bushings look alot like the old GM RWD control arm bushings. I bet the dims are close enough for fitment with only slight mods. My car is on a lift now, I will see if I can get some rough measurements.

Actually spoke to my front end guy about them today, and he is looking into urethane for us also. Gotta give him a call back in a few days.

If I am reading the first post correctly you are looking to get control arm bushing for your 01 Aurora?
If so Dorman makes the whole arm, bushings to ball joints. Part numbers 5201469 (left frt) and 520170 (right frt). Hope that helps

Not to get political but, AWEB80 I love the Ben Franklin quote.
