Default any body used a oil filter relocation kit?

Anyone here ever used one of these? there'* a couple type...one that hooks onto your normal filter fitting on the block and has hoses running to a larger fitting with 2 oil filters, like this one https://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stor...49339_-1_42226

or you can get them where you block off the filter port on the block and drill into your oil pan...obviously this is more permanent but is there any advantages to this one compared to the other or just more work? i dont really know how the oil flows in the 3.8 blocks but maybe its possible that having a dual filter relocation off the normal filter port on the block would leave oil in the lines and filters and therefore possibly getting into the heads faster? just a longshot...but i personally think im going to buy one probably make my motor last a little longer. thanks for the replies guys

Not that we know of... Although recently I have discussed with another member the possibility that a 4.3 kit would probably fit.

Are we susceptible to oil filter and oil life issues that I'm not aware of?

I personally see no benefit or advantage in longevity or performance.

the cleaner you keep your oil the longer your or my motor will last so having 2 filters could benefit i think. and personally ive cut open a few diffrent filters on the market that i have installed in my car, come on they are kinda small in size, i'd imagine the smaller filters could start to plug before its even time for a oil change.

I run my oil for 5000 miles on a single K&N filter. My UOA'* both came back showing far less particulates than 3000 mile dino juice.

Nobody on here has ever done what you're asking for the simple fact that we don't need to. Our engines are not known for oil issues.

Switch to a synthetic or synthetic blend, and use a GOOD oil filter.

So why are you interested in this?

There isn't a single car on this list running anything remotely like it:
http://www.rogue-cavern.net/fwdquarter.html

In fact, most of those cars are running off-the-shelf oil and filter. And we've never seen a single mechanical issue that would point back to an oil or filter issue with over 7000 members on the Forum.

My advice would be to spend your money where it'* needed or will actually benefit you.

There are some who do this on other vehicles due to bad access to the oil filter alone. I know that many on the Ranger forums use them since the fleakin' filter is an arm-burner to replace on the 3.0L.

Our filters are not hard to access nor are our engines known for having oil issues, so it'* not really been applied to Bonnevilles that I am aware of.
