Sensatrac vs GR2
Ok, I am going to be getting some new front struts on the bonneville, and were looking at the prices on Rock auto, and the KYB GR2'* are only $2 more each than the Monroe Sensatracs.
What I am wondering is, is there any benefit to getting the GR2'* over the regular sensatracs?
PN from the site:
MONROE Part # 71822
KYB Part # 236007

They are widely considered equals, but I know Greyhare isn't a fan of the KYB'*.
I personally greatly prefer Monroe. Sensatracs are used pretty widely here with great success.

How stiff do you like it?
I run an Advance Auto and have been told this from SEVERAL customers and employees through their own applications... GR-2'* are great if your entire suspension is tight and you like a stiff suspension. However, they have been soo stiff to break a glass roof on an 89 vette! It was the weakest part of the car, so it broke.
The monroes are decent, and a more 'all-around' choice.

GR-2'* on most cars are considered an OE replacement, perhaps a mild increase in stiffness.
Not a performance product really, but for the 90'* H-body, it'* probably the 2nd best choice behind the impossible to find monroe...

The Sensatracs are good. I install many at work and find they're a good factory replacement/mild improvement over factory. If you really want good struts, check out the Bilsteins. On a factory suspension, though, you probably don't need more than the Sensatracs and might not notice any difference.
