Default Another Rice Pipe Question- UPDATED with pics, 56k fine

This should be a quick one/ I bought Haro'* rice pipe and filter off of his 95, and can't wait to install it. My question is this: the short accordian tube with the temperaure sensor (correct?) should be removed, so that the silicone reducer goes right over the hole in the engine (throttle body?) Then I should take both parts from the temp sensor, and relocate them into the hole in the K&N by extending the wires, correct? From a visual fit, it looks like I'll need to hack off about 2-3 inches from where haro had the pipe. Does that seem right? It'* a SeriesII N/A. Single washerfluid bottle. Thank you for any help, pics to come tomorrow hopefully, need to set it up, build a box, insulate it to high hell, and feel the difference. And yes, I did search and read that massive thread, all 13 or so pages.

you will need to remove the accordian tube from your current setup.. and yes you are correct if the filter has a provision in it for the IAT then put it in there....if not in the pipe will suffice....the pipe should already the correct length

Yes, Yes and Yes.

Yes..the accordian comes off..the new pipe hooks directly to the throttle body like you mention.

Yes the sensor goes into the hole in the filter.

Yes the wires will need to be made longer to reach the sensor

Yes..it is very likely you'll need to cut the pipe to fit as your motor is different.

Here they are. I am putting these up and going to the hardware to store find the fixins for a hetshield, so don't jump all over me yet. Temp sensor is in the pipe for now. Too lazy to extend the wires today.

Dirtiest engine bay... evar? Working on a top-secret custom engine cover

Don't you love pulling out the stock airbox and finding this in your engine bay? Mechanic must've dropped it at some point, no idea how long it'* been in there. Judging by the rust, quite a while.

This has nothing to do with my intake, but I realized I never took pictures of it installed, so here'* a shot of my custom HU mount from my friend Mark at MAPtech enterprises.
