So i just received my k&n air filter and from what i understand a good idea might be to gut my airbox before i install it. Is this true and if so a little info about how to actually gut the airbox on my 1996 bonneville ssei would be very helpfull.

Paulie;

If you use the forum search function, you find some info on gutting your air box. There is really no real HP gain, but by opening the air box it will have a better growl when breathing in. It can help with other supporting mods in the future. Try running the K&N without modding the box...you may like it as is.
