I currently have a K & N system still in the box and was actually considering putting on the Intense system instead. My car is used for just everyday driving. Now, my question is will it make much of a difference if I use the K & N system or go with the Intense?

Sticker shock. Holy cow that'* expensive.
Can you return it or sell it? I'd go FWI in a heartbeat, although as CAI'* go, that doesn't need alot of work to be effective (better heat shield).

Yea, I do wish I would have waited to buy something. I bought the K & N system before I ever found out about INTENSE. I see that stupid guy from NAPA ripped me off. He said list price was $320 and gave me a discounted price of $270. Then I went back one day and he told me it could not be returned because it was specially ordered from the factory. So, I was debating if I should put it on ebay or sell it locally and buy the INTENSE or just keep it.
Is there any way I can modify the heat shield myself to make it more effective?

Other than the big hole for the tube to go through, what other flaws does the heatshield have? Maybe I can make up some kind of grommet to fill in the space between the heatshield and the tube.
