Default Air Box

Last night i had the air box apart cause i had to put in the sender for the tranny temp. The half of the box that is actually mounted under the hood i noticed the round inlet had a lip coming out of the box, i don't know if i explaind it right, anyway, i cut that lip off and now it seems like the supercharger whines more. I don't know if this had anything to do with it becasue it was a very little lip that may have not done anything. I was kinda worried that maybe when i was putting the sender for the tranny temp gauge that i may have dropped something down there, like a little piece of metal shaving. I hope that'* not the tranny creating the whine. I didn't notice dropping anything into the tranny.

It'* very possible that simple change could affect the sound. The intake was built, then recorded, and a resonator was added to dampen the engine/sc noise. If you modifiy the box in any way, the resonator is no longer effective for noise dampening.

Did you notice the funny little chamber hanging down from the snorkel? About the diameter of a Red Bull can, but half as tall? That'* the resonator. Acoustically tuned to a STOCK airbox.
