Default Aftermarket MAF

I just got back into a 2005 Boneville GXP from having a 2002 SSEI a few years ago and like so many I am looking for ways to increase my performance of my GXP so I would like to know if anyone has tried the after market MAF?

http://www.performancecenter.com/pro...onneville/4.6L

Do you think this could really help?

Thanks for the time and help...

The MAF itself won't gain you much. And that module is alot of money for only 10hp. Nobody here has tried either to my knowledge.

Moving to Performance and Brainstorming. Please keep the Mechanical sections for actual mechanical problems.

Custom 88 has the aftermarket Maf installed. And likes it the last I heard. The controller is a bit of change and definately not worth the money unless your going to nitrous( ) or turbocharge. I went 75Hp wet nitrous injection and love the spankings I hand out.......when I can keep a license.

Is your GXP new? The N*"* really loosen up nicely as you put some miles on them, and running premium really makes a performance difference. The K&N drop in filter will probably give ya as much as either of the two items you mentioned. Check out Squires STS Turbo systems when you have a chance for a wish list. They should have something other than a generic fit all kit for the Northstar before to long <fingers crossed>

I got mine used with 40K Miles on her, (Highway Miles) I may order the MAF and the Module just to try them out and report back, I have also placed an order for the K&N and I hope for it to be here tomorrow I will be driving this down from Alaska to Washington state so it should be fun

For that price you could probably build yourself a nice cold-air or fenderwell intake and have a high-flow cat installed, which would probably give you a more noticeable gain in performance than the module and MAF would.

It only claims up to 10 hp....I think its a safe bet that a good intake and cat should get you that at least.
