I know its not a picture, but it'll have to do for now. I'll get a picture and put it up soon.

R/T........... .415
60'............ 2.619
330'.......... 7.254
1/8 mi....... 11.024
mph.......... 65.28 mph
1000'........ 14.270
1/4 mi....... 16.973
mph.......... 83.61 mph

Slow, huh? There was no wheel spin on launch, even at full throttle.

That 60' time sucks. Regardless of L67 or L36. Whoever drove it needs to learn how to launch it. That'* what cost time on the ET.

Now can we have clarification as to what car and engine this is? The one in your sig? ???

No, No, No, No. My friend'* 1996 Bonn SE. He'* got dial-up at home, that'* why I was posting for him.

That was his 60' time. It is painfully slow, that'* the reason for this thread.

As for the launch. Imagine the tree, both staging lights are lit. The accelerator was heald to the floor and the brake applied enough to keep the car from moving. When the third light turned yellow, the brake was released. Zero wheel-spin resulted. I drove the car, as did my friend. That'* what we both did to launch. How could we get the car to go any faster? Cut a hole in the floorboard and push the pedal farther down? That'* why we're wondering how in the hell it'* so slow.

His true cold air intake now seems to have helped, but he still can't spin the wheels.

I know when my tires break loose at launch, I get a 2.4s 60', but his is 2.6?????

How would you suggest launching?

Get a scantool on the car and check the TCC slip rpm'* at 55mph in OD with TCC lockup. Check the condition of the fluid as well. Does the car seem to rev better than it accellerates?

i'm the one who got that time, and blownbuick is right, he drove it also and launched with the gas to the floor and the brake stopping the car from moving, also, my airbox did help a little but i still cant even squeel the tires and once i get to like 3000 rpm it has some balls, but untill then it is slower than a civic(seriously)

blownbuick posted the videos on page two of my acceleration, also take into consideration that me speedo is 13 mph fast at 17mph, so it says i'm going 30mph, i know this for sure because the cops in my nieghborhood parked one of those trailors that tells you how fast your going on my street, and my speedo was at 30mph but it said i was doing 17mph

The trans isn't slipping, for sure. I'll check with a scanner, but I'm positive that it isn't.

Also, the fluid was just flushed two days ago. It better be in good condition.
