5 Grand would make that car awful fast. Swap in an L67, and do a few mods and you would easily be low 13'*. I say L67, Thrasher Cam, ZZP Intercooler, TOG Headers, etc... That car would be fast. If you want to dump the whole 5k into the Bonneville, let me know, I will help you make it real fast.

If I got all that cash at once I would probably get the impulse to start plating stuff in gold.

But seriously, the engine bay of the McLaren F1 is plated in gold. Something to do with gold'* heat conducting or resistance properties. That might cost a bit more than 5K.

You might want some low profile summer tires (you gotta get all that power to the ground my friend). I didn't see what state your in, but winter tires will come in handy too.

i am not gonna gold plate nothing. no offense but i hate the gold series badges they look odd. chrome would be the way to go. i gotta 225/55/17 on there now and they hold damn good. i can do 55 on a exit ramp doing that with my stock tires would start to skid at 40. i would like to do the L67 swap but i heard there is alot of SH*T to change over and i don' got the time for it. i was thinking just getting all the performance stuff they got for the L36 i got a buddy that works at a motor shop that could install all the stuff i get and they are gonna forge my tranny for 1500 but thats not inculded with the 5 grand i am getting. i was looking at thew ZZ performance site and was thinkin of the L36 stage 1 kit. but keep coming with suggestions i apprecaite all knowledge

I was just kiddin' bout wanting to plate anything gold. If i got 5 grand I would probably buy an other car. Seriously I saw this video with this British guy who was test driving that car. I got it off of Kazaa. The engine bay had all this gold.

Oh I should have looked at your signature before I wrote bout the tires. BTW: those are some mean lookin wheels

i would suggest looking at all of the 3800 performance websites and talking to people to find out what you should buy in what order to get the most out of your $$$.

If you are planning on keeping the L36 and not doing a swap call up ZZPerformance (1-800-ZZPerformance) and talk to Zooomer about getting a CSC (Centrifical Supercharger), they work wonders on L36'* and make BIG power, like 150 horses. There is a guy with a CSCed Monte Carlo that runs 12.1'*, and the CSC sounds awesome, it sounds just like a turbo, only louder. I would seriously look at this option if I were in your position, it would make your Bonne hella fast.
