Ok, just so you all know,
most X5'* have a 3.0L inline six.
some have the 4.4L V8
and a very few have the 4.6L V8
Hope that clears it up
in your opinion, which is better? (reliability wise)
We do not really have any major problems with any of them. I think we only have one 4.6 out there and we have put a couple of lifters in it. The six cylinders run great and the v-8'* make tons of power. They actually make a little too much power for the X-5'* I think. They are very skittish and the traction control spends a lot of time working.
I also do not think the performance is worth the extra $$$$$.
But that is just my opinion
