Merlin, don't go wider than 235 unless you buy wider rims. You'll get too much sidewall flex with 245'* on stock width wheels. Not so important for most of us, but you run on a road course regularly. 235'* may be stiffer than 245'* in your situation.

H-Bodies

They are LEGALLY H bodies but if you look closely, they have some G body design elements. That'* what fools most of us.

I'm getting closer to ordering the tires and I just checked my rim size on my Enkei RS5s.... 7inches.... The 225s are able to be mounted on a range of tires including 7in, but the 235s are 7.5in (or 8in) and above.... so no 235s for me.

Jason, you CAN put them on 7'*. It'* been done with success before.

I think Gordy is still on 7 inch rims with his 255'*. I may be mistaken.

The 235s make for a wider tire... but a very small sidewall....
225*0.45=101.25
235*.40=94
.... compared to the 225*.55=123.75 I have on her now.

I'll be going to 235'* by winter. The only reason I stuck with 225'* is because narrower tires are better on the sand and salt.

When you're talking about doing AutoX or road courses, don't you want a short sidewall? I know it'* good to have a little more beef at the strip, but you want to minimize flex when cornering, no?

Agreed.... but less sidewall = more bumpy ride... right?
