if you made your own cone you would need the PCM tray, which was what I was talking about.

FWI is the only way to go on the 00+ models IMO.

FWI is the only way to go on the 00+ models IMO.
Respectfully, it is not the only way to go.

It has the disadvantage of a longer pipe and more bends with resultant higher pressure drop.
A cooled straight shot is best IMO.

You can even remove the headlight for true ram air.

Opinions will vary here for sure which is why i said IMO. However, there are no bends in my FWI and while longer, my setup allows for the air to smooth our before hitting the MAF. I got rid of 5 KR moving from my SLP CAI to my FWI. Less restriction, more laminar flow, and cooler air.

If the box were presurized via a ram air that would be the best flow, sealing it from engine heat and keeping it air tight would be the trick?
