2 min fan on works.

I went out tonight for a 100 mph+ run on a deserted highway.
The fan ran for 2 minutes after I turned off the engine. This was the first time it did it since the PCM change.
It comes on if the temp is over 179 F.............no wonder after that run.

Be damned if the acceleration still shuts down on wide open full throttle runs when the speed gets up to 110 mph.
I haven't got the laptop yet to run with my AutoTap. :(
The Ebay laptop arrived last week but it's an old one.......what should I have expected for $160.

What are your plugs gapped at?

BonneMeMN May 15, 2004 11:51 PM

Nice, i hope to get my high speed fan wired up to a switch some weekend soon.

I think you need to get DHP on the phone, and have a replacement sent out to get rid of that Torque management.

Do you have any ducting going into your massive heatshield ther? That fan thing sounds awesome, think about how much you paid for that PCM, they better get you a working one.

I just may give that a try

Yes, I have ram air ducting that keeps that chamber the same temp as outside air.
You're right about the PCM, the more I think about it the madder I get. :x

Just an FYI on the INTENSE PCM it also does fan run after motor off, but its 3 minutes. 2KSB you really need to get a scan on that car, my guess is your either getting a ton of kr up top, belt slipping on the boost, or getting misfires. When was the last time you checked your gaps? I just did mine and found 2 at .50 instead of .55 which was giving me hesitation around 103 or so. Regapped em an now running strong.

It's easy to check the gaps, so maybe I'll try resetting them all to factory .060 specs. They are only 1.5 range cooler plugs.

Rogue - I regapped all the plugs this afternoon from .056" to .058". Let you know if that makes any difference. :?
