We all make our own

go to menards or home depot and look in the indoor and outdore plumbing for a rubber 90 degree bend with a diameter that fit'* over you throttle body inlet after that go to ebay and buy some polished aluminum intake pipe of the right diameter then go to Checker, Autozone and buy a cone filter. Spectre is a good choice and they're pretty cheap otherwise the best is K&N

hey man..with my Riv i just put on a fenderwell intake...it took like 10 minutes to put on..
i got 2 feet of intake tuubing which was liike 25 bucks. a cone air filter. and 2 hose clamps things lol
we popped off the throttle body and air box. put the intake tubing on shoved it in the fenderwell. then connected the air filter and stuck it inside the fender. and connected it to the throttle opening.
makes the m62 sound freakin awesome!

mines technically a FWI fenderwell intake..its a lot cheaper..
it adds around 10hp. but what ive seen some people do is add an insulation plastic or tape to block around the fenderwell hole from the engine to block out almost 100% engine temps makin it a cold air intake.
it sounds amazin! i need to get a video of it..but my coupler is goin so u heard a bad rattling sound when it revs.

YouTube - Fun with a Spectre

heres sum1 elses...thats an m62 onn a series one. with a overly large cone. thats too big to fit in a fenderwell..his is more aa warm air intake which isnt too good for SC'* cuz the temp can be a little too high. important to keep the SC temps cool. when i was hangin out with guys with 96 rivs with a m90 on a series 2 they said the m62 sounds MUCH better then the m90. theres like an inch different in stock pulley size. m62 is 2.85 and m90 is 3.5 i believe.

p.*. i tried to Pm u.i need 15 posts firsts lol

How would you propose making the cold air box to fit a cone filter? I've seen tinfoil but that seems a little contrived to me.

Also if I do go ahead and put in a cold air intake (also probably a 180 deg thermostat), would I need to change any of the computer programming or the sensors to get the engine to run correctly? I don't know much about modding, but I see everywhere that people have CAI and 180 thermos so it sounded like a cheap but worthwhile mod.

u will not need to program the computer at all. 180 tstat will save some years for the car...remember im usin the FWI(tube runs down the fenderwell) not a CAI..the cold air is would require more work and totally blocking out the air from the engine. very worth it. more HP..engine runs cooler.

I noticed there is a sensor that attaches to the stock air box, if I take the air box out what am I going to do about the sensor?

That sensor is the IAT, Intake air temp. It needs to be in the air flow in to the throttle body.
