hey riotact , i just got ur email. actually , i changed 2 computers and it didn't solve the problem! plus if u think u'll get charged to do a scan, YOU WONT! It'* totally free . get it done before u change ur computer cause if that driver is just failing, it will fail in ur new comp too, due to a problem within that driver . get it scanned and get back to me.

Some of the earlier 90'* bonnevilles and some scantools had a little glitch. My Quad driver shows itself as bad on my scantool if I have my foot on the brake. This is during a realtime data scan, not just a code scan. Reset your computer, then drive for awhile, stop the car, and scan for codes with the foot well away from the brake pedal!

Likely the driver is detecting a fault on its line, which means that one of the three or four items it is connected to is not operating properly. I don't have a service manual here, so I can't look up the items.

As a follow up the four items controlled by this quad driver are:
1. Charcoal canister purge solenoid
2. Hot temperature lamp
3. Low speed fan relay
4. TCC apply solenoid
The brake is also connected to it, but shouldn't set code 26. Some scan tools will detect a fault if the brake is pressed. Do you have any symptoms related to those above?
