It needs to be on my server so I have FTP access to it.

Ok, (just a proposal), how about 3 sections? One for NA, one for SC? The third for Gtech (must still be verified by emailing the logfile).

Now what parameters? Gtech calculates 0-60, but the tracks don't, so those will be slightly different. Some members only have access to 1/8 mile tracks, so how do we handle that?

Let'* do it right the first time, even if it takes longer to get it right. In the meantime, I'll update my hardcopy with all the recent times and get them all into a spreadsheet in ready form.

I'd say do it like this..

Either N/A */C grouping, or Engine, LN3, LG3, L27, L67 S1. L67 S2, N* etc....

[User] [Gtech/track] [0-60] space [Track] [Track Temp or Date] [Slicks?] [R/T] [60'] [1/8] [1/4] [E/T]

60' time is an important benchmark for the track. So you're proposing a single list combining track and Gtech? With just a descriptor to set them apart?

Or would it be better to have the Gtech times on a seperate chart farther down the page?

Are the links on the current page useful? Keep them or ditch them?

I think GTech page and timeslip page (with timeslip pic evidence on a link) with SC cars and NA cars in seperate sections on the same page. Example owner of said 96 SE model with Gtech evidence would have it in the Gtech page under NA cars......also for 1/8 mile racers thats fine we can list 60 foot 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile times with speeds. another example owner of 93 SSEi with timeslip evidence on 1/8 track would have it poseted on the timeslip page listing his 60 foot time and 1/8 time with speed under the SC car section......simple enough

I think this would be the simplist way of doing the job, and considering Will is doing this all out of the kindness of his heart lets try and keep it simple for him. Also I think that if we keep it simple it will be easier to go through the site and look at the times. I also think we need to have a link provided to show the Mods that are currently on the car if there are some...so we can show what level of Mods the car is at when its taken to the track and run. Again a link to a cardomain or similar site would be preferred

I agree pretty much 100% with what he said.

The current page has links to the member'* profile in order to find mods. I don't want a link to the slips, as they have to be hosted. Hosting comes and goes.....I think after the initial verification, no further evidence would be required? What about the Gearheads as a 'verification panel' of judges? Is that even necessary?

OK so it can be verified one time by an Admin or Moderator (whoever is incharge of the site at the time) but otherwise I think my idea is best

Dame'* working on a mockup in Java that is sortable by category. I'd prefer it to pull info from a db or txt file, so I can update it easily.

www.damemorder.com/times.htm

There'* the basic idea. Someone else will have to do the DB/TXT thing, I've never even made a DB...

I've got reports of it not sorting... It'* supposed to sort 0-Z, Lemme know.

It'* not sorting.. But it'* not bad either, i like it. For databases, maybe you could use some Access stuff? I'm not sure what 1&1 lets us use, i haven't used my admin panel in a few months....

Yes i know it'* N/A do we need to say it so many times?

It was witnessed by 1 gearhead, 1 moderator, and countless other members too. The Moderator was the one racing down the track with me btw
