I have a bone stock 94 bonne se that i took to the track yesterday and i ran a 17.0 is that normal or what? please tell me and post your times as well oh by the way i had a .625 reaction time sort or bad
That doesn't seem that slow to me. It is only like 175hp correct??? A 2000 SSEi according to the Magazines does 15.8 in the 1/4 stock and it is 240hp, so I can see how a '94 SE would only do 17 flat. Now a good driver could probably get more out of it, but 17 flat doesn't sound that far off to me.
The reaction time isn't bad, because .500 is perfect, unless you are at one of those tracks with the new standard of .000, if that is the case a .625 is pretty bad, but it doesn't effect your time so it doesn't really matter.

thats not that bad for the weight that you had. there is a guy at the trach with a 93 SE. with the left headlight out and 1/4 tank of fuel, he runs 16.50'*. the only mod he has is a fabbed CAI with a cone filter.
i also found that for those of us that have air ride, have some people sit on the rear of the car with the trunk open, wait till the air ride shuts off after lifting it to ride height, then unplug the air ride compressor in the engine bay. it will stay raised and give you less weight transfer on launch

I took my 1994 SLE (same as a SE with almost all SSE options) with the L27 3800 to a 1/8 mile drag strip 2 weeks ago. I ran 10.1'* @ 71mph in the 1/8. What were your 1/8 times and @ what speed? What were your 60' times? Reaction time doesn't really effect anything but the reaction time unless you are red-lighting.
I have a few mods (cold air intake, Magnaflow Wide Open muffler 3" inlet with dual 2.5" outlets, Taylor 8mm Spiro Pro wires, NGK V-power plugs, removed Mass airflow screen from the throttle body, and was running 92 octane pump gas (half tank). My car was fully loaded down with the sub and amp in the trunk, 200+ cds in the car (most in jewel cases), and alot of other junk. I could have easily lost 350-400 lbs. and had much better times. Now I have my drilled 180* t-stat in, and STILL haven't put my superchip in, but when I do I will have probably another 10-15 hp.
Anyhow, on my launches I had left the line with minimal (almost the perfect amount of slippage -just a little to get the engine revving faster, but not red-lining). My 60' times were 2.13'*-2.34'*.
I would really be intersted in hearing what you ran for the 60', 1/8, and 1/4 for times and speeds.
Hopefully I'll have mine to a 1/4 track by the end of the summer (at which time I'll have the porting all done -supposedly good for another 25-35 hp (do I see a 225-230 hp L27 coming up????). Hope to run mid-high nines with everything done.

I have an 02 Bonne SSEI. Only mod is a 3.4" pulley and a K&N air filter. So far I have only pulled a 14.02 @97.5mph in a quarter. I should have additional mods next spring and expect low 13'* and maintain over 20mpg.
