My neighbor'* got a stock muffler off his '02 Grand Am GT (quad tip dual) he'* willing to let me have cheap if I can rig up a way to fit it to my Bonne. We laid it under the stock muffler and checked it out, and it seems like all that would really be needed is some creative pipe welding (the GT muffler'* intake pipe faces straight out toward the engine, not toward the driver'* side rear wheel like my stock muffler) and some new hangers.
Has anyone ever done anything like this with success? I need a new muffler anyway, and I can't beat the price -- plus, how many SEs have quad tip dual exhausts?

I think BonneMeMN has the Pontiac n10 exhuast, nobody has ever taken one off a GA to my knowledge. If you can get it to work, good for you, you will probably have a unique exhaust note. Are you sure its big enough for our engine?

It'* kind of hard to determine its actual volume; it'* an odd shape and contour, completely unlike the stock SE muffler. His GT is a 3.4L; will 0.4 liters of displacement difference play a big role in whether it'll work or not?-b

What car are u talking about? If it has dual outlets on one side, then I believe that the Same muffler is used on all the GA'* and the Alero. The Car gets the Same muffler no matter if it is 2.4, 3.1, or the 3.4L. I know that the the GAGT has a differnt Setup than the GASE
