$%$#U^%#^%#&^#&^ !!!!!!
I just limped home on 4 cylinders. Very obvious. 5 ain't bad, but 4 SUCKS!
So far I only have the front bank apart. Coil secondaries check good, #1 and #3 plug wires are good, #5 is 3-4 times higher in resistance than it should be, with plug evidence on #5 to support that.
The #1 plug is fuel fouled BADLY.
Anyone else care to think about what I'll find on the rear bank? And the root cause?
Turn it into a good guessing game. Let'* see if your logic follows mine.
(this prevents testing the water injection further, but Eric, Lilpooky, and I all observed a 1psi increase at WOT. Back to back runs).

Cmon guys. 4 cylinders coming home. #1 plug fuel fouled. What am I going to find on the rear bank of cylinders?
Anyway, I was right. I found what I expected. In addition, the #6 wire came apart when I pulled it. This is probably the last set of Taylor Wires I ever buy, unless they replace them free of charge.
So what did I find on the rear bank when I inspected my plugs and wires?

You get the cake, but it'* the 1-4. Only it reads fine. All 3 coils are .5ohms on the primaries, 7.8k on the secondaries. This says the 1-4 isn't bad, but I know it is. Heat-related failures of coils are not uncommon. Now that the car is cooled down, I'll clean my plugs and re-install them, then replace the bad plug wires and install all 3 MSD coils again. When it happens tonight during my test drive, I'll have a stock coil with me to swap in. I still have 2 good ones.

For crying out loud man, will you get some OEM parts on that car of yours and treat it properly :P You just can't tell these young pups anything these days

I think your car is doing something funny to those taylors. No one else has had issues, and they're rated higher then MSD'* temp wise. Is it the same wires you had issues with before?
Considered heat boots, and/or full wrap for your coils? Something'* running hot in the back, and that makes sense. All the hot air from the front you're blowing off is only going back there...

I'd like the next 5 people who use Taylor'* to check their resistances before installing.
I had 2 high resistance wires in this set, one in front, one in back. (Taylor'* have VERY good boots).
That wasn't my problem. The MSD 1-4 coil reads differently (either short or open or correct) depending on how I'm holding it. My known good stock 3-6 coil is running in that spot in the interim.
Car is purring like a kitten, I'm heading out to test the water some more.
