This is a free mod. This may, or may not have any effect on your car, it all depends on how the bypass is set. This simply adjusts the boost bypass to shorten it'* travel a bit. So you may see a bit more boost sooner.
First locate the boost bypass valve.

Use a 10mm wrench to loosen the bolts holding the valve in place, one on top.

And the other further down. Only loosen these, do not remove them.

Now adjust the valve down a little bit, and then tighten both bolts.

And your done.

Or , if you really want to control your Boost go to the junk yard and find an electric vacumun control. Most later model GM cars have them. It will have three vacumun outlets. One at one end and two at the other. You have to test it to see which end allows the vacumun to pass thru and which one blocks it when power is applied. Next find the vacumun line that controls the pull-off solinoid and cut it. Put the switch into the line. Wire it to a switch and you have total control over you boost. When it is on you have boost all the time and when it is off the boost is controled by the pull-off.

For a engine running on the raged edge where the tune needs to be adjusted by the season, or even changes in temp. Best to let the PCM deal with it. A engine that has a looser tune this my be OK.
And for your information my looser tune runs 11.50 consistantly.

Everyone is free to mod their car as they see fit. My way isn't the only way. And this is why we talk about things. Different attitudes come up with different ideas. I like the idea. But for the average person, I suggest not using it. For someone that watches their engine and how it performs, this is an option.
My looser tune has been running on the street and strip for three years now with NO "Chipped Pistons" NO Destroyed Transmissions.
I know my times are slow compared to all of yours, but with my old reaction times (I'm 75yrs old) it still manages 11:50s consistantly. My son who is a bit younger manages to rip off a few 11"10s & 11"15s. By the way the car weighs in at 3270lbs.
Also, letting the PMC control your boost is like giving grandma the gas petal and you get the rest. If the General meant for you to have max HP he would have put in a manual controller. All he was interested in was your money and NO PROBLEMS..
