Transmission problem please help...
About a month ago I was on the highway running 60 and my rpms went up and my transmission would no longer shift into 1st through 4th , It won't even go in reverse. It dosn't move. When I shift it from park to d,r,123 od. it feels like the engine rpms drop like its going into gear.

What year and trim level do you have? We can't begin to help you until we have that information.
It'* a good idea to add this information to your signature, found within your Profile.

Sounds like something in that 4T60-E took a major crapp...
The 4 foward gears are electronic, as soon as you shift to (OD) you should be in first...
But when you shift into reverse, its manually controled... I take it the Van will not back up as you said it will not move?
Almost sounds like something internally Broke or Snapped...

What do you want to do with it as far as troubleshooting it? Are you willing to pull the trans yourself, or are you planning on taking it to a shop? I am not familiar with your specific vehicle, but I do have the same trans as you do. I also have a manual for mine. (due to my trans is out of my car and stripped down). We can help you with the trans if you do it yourself.
My first suggestion would be to drop that trans oil pan and see whats in the bottom of it. Lets hope we don't find any metal shavings or chunks.

In the Tech forum, you can find instructions for pulling just the trans through the bottom of the car, or engine and trans up through the top. I pulled both of mine up through the top all as one unit. Which one is easier? Dunno, if you leave the engine, you have to make, or get a engine holder to hold the engine in place while removing trans. If you go for trans and engine out, just remove mounts, disconnect wiring harness at firewall, drop your A/C compressor, and remove drive shafts.
I think pulling both might involve a little bit more work, but if your pulling one, might as well pull the engine so you can get some other work done to it also. LIke changing the waterpump gasket, the coolant elbow. Ya know, things that are difficult to get done while its in the car.
