Stalling and/or won't start. Speedo jumps. MAP code. Bother?
You could have more than one problem here...
One thing I forgot to ask you to check, is pull the vac line from the F/P regulator......see if you have fuel in the vac line......that will cause a stall on a warm engine, and hard start on a hot engine....
If you have good spark, it'* not the crank sensor....
A rough start/stall, could cause the MAP code.....you say it was changed before? Are the two o-rings in place? there is a small black one around the PCV valve, and a large orange one, around the sensor, should be a spring in there too.....
One other thing......this could be a separate problem......if the car starts and immediately stalls/dies, observe the SECURITY LIGHT in the dash.....when you turn the key to on, it should come on for 3 seconds and go out....then when you turn it to crank position, it should stay off, and when the vehicle either starts and stalls, or starts and runs, it should be off....if it runs for two seconds and dies, and the security light is on, you have a problem with the PassKey system....
