OK, I think I see the problem here. Car wont start, and trunk wont open with the button. Neutral safety switch. When the car thinks it'* not in park it will not crank nor will the trunk button work.

U know, I do recall something like that once befoe, but this time I have gone throught every gear numerous times.. Is there a quick fix for this? Plz tell me there is a fuse hiding somewhere, lol

I'm guessing the switch may have gone bad. Do you happen to know what transmission you have? I have a few switches sitting on my shelf for the 4t65e

I looked on www.rockauto.com New they cost under $30 Look up Neutral Safety Switch / Range Sensor

Awesome! I will call the local place tomorrow to see if the have it in stock. TY .. I do have a haynes for it, so I think I can find it.

It'* right on top of the transmission, drivers side, a bit to the back. You will see the shifting linkage connecting to it as well as a bunch of wires.

Hopefully that corrects the problem. But what your saying it points to the switch saying it'* in gear. The trunk switch will not work in gear. Only in park.
