Oldsmobile cutlass ciera 1987
I have olds. 3800/V6. I've been working on it . the car back fired and now will not idle. There is spark, Check distributor,checks fuel pump all working. Cranks over great. It was running great but this happened and now I have no clue what is wrong with it.

How many miles on the car?
How many miles have you owned it?
How long have you owned it?
What were you doing to the car?
Will it start?
How many miles on the distributor cap?
How many miles on the rotor?
How old are the spark plug wires?
How many miles on the spark plugs?
What did you check on the distributor?
What is the fuel pressure showing on a gauge?
Looking forward to answers to the above. I think this will get us on the way to solving this issue(*).
