Default Need help! 98 lss axle!

hey guys, first post. i have a 98 Olds' LSS, its got the 3.8 supercharged, with the 4t65 tranny, and im having a HELL of a time finding a drivers side axle for it.. i've called every salvage yard in my province, and cant find any, and GM tells me they are discontinued. Now i'm pretty good mechanic, and i can probably take 2 axles and make one, but my question is, what other GM axles have the same CV joint? would say a van, or a grand prix, or anything like that have the same outter joint? i cant find ANY junked LSS or bonnevilles or anything like that around here.. any info would be AMAZING! thanks!

I see quite a few listings on Rockauto.com for the shaft you need.

i will try a few more local stores tomorrow, as i don't really have the time to wait for one to be shipped unless i HAVE too... can anyone shed some more light onto my question, as to which gm vehicles share the same CV joint itself as my olds so i can try to make a joint to get my through till i can get one shipped?

If you goto rockauto and lookup the part itself you need, and click on the BLUE part number for that particular part, it will give you a complete listing of every make/model that part goes too.
