Is your engine supercharged or not?

Going through the thread and looking to gather current status:

Have you been able to ask about this?

I left a message for my mechanic regarding how he determined the ICM was the issue but I haven't heard back. My newly acquired Actron tester revealed the bad camshaft sensor today and I immediately ordered an AC Delco replacement that will arrive later this week. I will post the results as soon as I get the sensor replaced. I am usually away for work 13 hours a day, 6 days a week. I have a little time off now for the holidays so I am able to turn the wrenches and do the testing myself... which I greatly prefer over going to a repair shop.

Why would you use the diode function to do your resistance tests?

It was the resistance (ohms) function on that particular meter. Each setting on the dial can cover multiple tests. You toggle between the available tests using the function button.

The new ICM needs to be removed from the engine, then you need to clean the aluminum oxide off the bracket where it mounts, then you need thermal paste (cpu for a pc type paste) to put between them, then you need to make sure you use a dab of dielectric grease on the seals for the coils-to-the-module o ring so it stays both good at its job and makes them not stick , then you need to make sure the hold down screws for the coils are clean and not rusty. i suggest a paint marker or dab of grease to the heads to keep them from rusting.

youll find this will help the life a lot

The ICM mounting pad was cleaned and polished before applying Arctic Silver heat sink paste to the back side of the ICM. All the coil and module bolts were polished clean before assembly. I did not dab the bolts with grease but they were coated with WD-40. Thanks for your input.
