help please?

I have a 1999 olds 88 that shows a multiple random misfire code. The coil packs, plugs, wires, fuel filter and fuel pump have all recently been replaced. It's main problem seems to be on hard acceleration. (take off from a dead stop, and climbing the many hill around here.) Any ideas? TIA, Leah

Did you have these issues before everything was replaced? How recently was all this stuff replaced?

Also out of curiosity, which coils and wires did you use?

Check the fuel injector as well. Its not a very common problem, but I did replace one on a supercharged 3800 a month ago that was throwing a misfire code.

Yes. And the code remains the same after each repair. I replaced the fuel pump, because when looking for the filter, I discovered a small gas leak on the lines. The car seems to do a little better after the pump & filter replacement.. however it is still rough on take off & hills. And the check engine light stays on.. but flashes when it starts bucking.

I just got the car.. so the coils, wires & plugs were already replaced. The mechanic checked the coil packs, said they look good. None of the plugs are fouled & do appear to be new. The wires show no sign of wear either.
