Isn't the dome in the center for the keyless entry?
no, the 97s have the sensor with built in antenea right behind the DIC..about worthless.....98+ this was addressed-I wouldn't say fixed tho. They have a 6-9inch "paper" wrapped antenea, same location.

That is what I'm looking at. Is it the piece in the middle in front of the vents, or is it in the HUD?

The peice in the center, it pops up real easy with a small flathead screwdriver
