Default car wont start. 99 olds intrigue 3.8

My girlfriend went to dinner today and right when she got to the resturant the low fuel light came on. She figured she would put fuel in after eating, all she had to do was back up to a pump. Well after eating she went to leave and the car would not start. It cranks over fires and then it dies. My friend stopped to help her and he removed the battery cable (to reset the computer he said). Well the car started ran perfect for 5 minutes then died. Tried again with the battery but didn't help. Any clues please help 1999 olds intrigue 3800. In mn winter temp was about 5*F or so

Did you put gas in? If the ground your parked on isn't level she could have starved the fuel pump.

Yes they put 5 gals in. My buddy tried pushing the shrader valve on the regulator or rail and there was what seemed to be good pressure even after cranking

Does it still start and then die? When it dies does it sputter and then die, or does it just shut off like a switch was flipped.

OK, that sounds like a electrical problem. When it dies check for spark.
