Default Cam Sensor Check Engine Light

I have the Cam Sensor Check Engine light on..... I checked and the interrupter magnet is in place....... I replaced the CAM sensor and the light it still on...... what else could it be??

1991 Olds 98 Regency witg 317,000 miles. I replaced the interrupter magnet about 10 years ago.

Have you reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery for 30+ minutes?

The battery has been disconnected for a few days while I had the Alternator removed doing some other things...

That'd do it.

So the magnet is there and the sensor is new. Next step would be wiring I guess. This is an odd one.

I have even replaced the wiring harness that connects the ICM, Crank Sensor, and Cam Sensor .... No change.
