Anyone has any Bravada questions, issues, etc- please post them. A few of us have a deep Bravada/ Jimmy/ Blazer background and will be more than happy to quickly reply.
We just bought a 2000 Olds Bravada. Last night the door locking system quit working. We can open the doors manually but cannot open the rear gate. Checked for blown fuses but found nothing. Need help please as to where to look. Have no idea. Thank you.

Lets narrow it down a little.
Does the remote key lock or unlock work?
Does the lock/ unlock button work on the driver or passenger front door?
Does the tailgate open button work?
If none of these work I would take a second look at the fuse situation. Please post your findings and we can troubleshoot from there.

If the AWD is not working there will be a check AWD light on the dash. I had a Bravada about 12 years ago, and I had issues with the AWD, and each time, the light came on.

Sounds like trans is shot. If you have $30 to blow, you can always go to hardware store and get a 12 foot piece of 1/4 clear hard tubing and siphone the trans fluid through the dipstick into a LARGE pan (bucket won't work because bucket will fill to the lower part of the trans pan and quit draining). Measure the amount of fluid extracted and replace with DEXTRON VI from Wal Mart. Maybe something is stick and the new fluid will loosen it up. I doubt it, but it is an easy one time shot in the dark as opposed to dropping the trans.
