Default '95 88 horn sticking

1995 Olds 88. Horn button has always been very touchy and now it hangs up to the point I have had to unplug the horns. Tried loosening the screws up that hold the airbag on but that made it worse, left horns unplugged. FSM says the horn ring is part of the air bag assembly and can't buy just the horn switch. Relays are all good. Whats the alternative to buying another air bag. I was thinking of pulling it off anyway and see what I can do with it.

Years ago I had a bad horn switch, I cut the wires and put a new switch on the steering column.

Found out horn switch is indeed part of the air bag assembly. Looks like horn button is going in the dash. Found a good spot for it under the trunk release button.
