Hello once again. I took a test drive and I could feel the tranny shift 1st to 2nd and 3rd . the motor still sounds bad though. Could the tranny have any vacuum that may be leaking causing some of the trouble I am have having? Thanks for taking time to read this and any ideas you may have. gary r

Are you thinking the transaxle is causing the engine to run bad? What does a vacuum gauge do. Here'* an old paper on using a vacuum gauge to diagnose engine problems.
