Default 1997 LSS

Problem 1.
Noticed my headlights were out after leaving work at night, decided to check if my high beams were working and when I pulled back on the column lever to engage the hi beams they came on however the lever stuck in the on position. I was able to get the lever unstuck but it will not stay engaged anymore.

Problem 2.
Headlights will not come on during night time driving. I noticed that my daytime running lights were working periodically as I could see the reflection off the car in front of me and they did go off when I put the car in park. When I got home I had no daytime running lights with the car in park or drive.

I have checked all fuses under dash and hood all seemed to be ok I also changed the head light bulbs. All of the fog lights brake and running lights are working but i cannot get the regular headlights to work. I'm not sure where to go from Here any help would be appreciated .

Sounds like the high/low-beam switch in the turn signal stalk is bad. That switch switches from low-beam only to high-beam only and back. These do not leave the low beams on when the high-beams are on.
