Default 1993 olds 98

I have a 1993 olds 98. I have been trying to get the drivers side headrest out. Bought the service manual and the Kent-Moore J-38530 tool to get it out. Followed the instructions still will not come out. Is there a trick to this?

I have a 91 Olds Toronado. mine may be similar to yours.
I rebuilt my seats last year and I could not get my headrests out either. no matter how hart I tried. the only way I got them out was when I took the seat completely apart. I basically got them out from the inside, which probably doesn't help you. but I do have photos. you can see the spring inside the hole that the headrest goes into. you have to move it towards the outside of the hole. I don't know why they are so strong but good luck, hope this helps.
both springs are on the outside rod and towards the outside of the car.

Took my 1993 olds 98 to my local shop. They had never done this before. Trying to get headrest out. You have to push down forcefully to get it to work. thanks
