It could also be that something else went out now that this issue is solved and it was able to drive again, get warm under the hood, etc. Some water that'* in somewhere that it shouldn't either moves or expands or vaporizes or etc.

The only way I could get it to 'idle' (and I use that term loosely) was pumping the gas as I cranked it over. Stuttered and bogged down pretty quick. Wouldn't stay idling for long.

Ive got the battery on the charger now, though. I'll try again in a couple hours and report back.

Is there a fuel pressure regulator on this car?
If so remove the vacuum line, plug it, Start car & and see if the FPR starts to leak fuel after 4 minutes of running. It can be a bad day like ker boom to the intake manifold if it is leaking.

Yes there is. I recently replaced it a couple weeks ago.

I will test this once I get it to a stage where it will idle on its own.

OK so I tested the engine Bay for ground and it seems like there'* a weak ground point to the The chassis. Where everything else was giving me 12.38 V I was only getting about 10 at the chassis so tonight I'm going to go through and either identify the weak points or Add new grounding straps to see if I can't solve the problem.

So this is my solution: (and please correct me if it won't work)

I have some unused 0 gauge cable from when I put a new ground clamp on my welder. I was thinking I'd just cut chunks, put some ring ends on them and either replace the straps I can find, or put new ones. One main ground from the battery then three splitting off to the block, chassis and body.

Alright so I put a good ground to the chassis. Now it will at least turn over and start to start up, but dies as soon as I let off the key. Just like before. I can keep it running, if i continually pump the gas a bunch and then keep it around half throttle but it sounds like absolute dog *&#t. Sputters and backfiring and eventually sputters and dies out after about 30 seconds.

Realized I forgot to hook the vacuum line that comes from the front valve cover (not PCV) back up and I got it to run on it'* own for almost a minute. Still sounds like it'* missing bad. Probably fouled plugs again.

I'm now leaning towards the idler screw and TPS needing adjusting. I'll see about dealing with it in the morning. I'm having to work on it on the street and people fly by so its sketchy AF working on it at night on the street haha

Update. I came out tonight, jumped the Olds and it'* currently idling just fine on it'* own. I adjusted the idle screw a bit and now it seems to be running fine. It'* been idling about five minutes now and all seems fine.
