That damage wasn't all fire damage. The forum from which those pictures came points out that he had a wet nitrous kit that was probably hooked up improperly. The bulk of the damage came from the BOOOM! I'm not entirely sure how nitrous systems malfunction, but they say he probably "backfired" out his intake. That'* a nice way to void your warranty

Worst part is that his insurance won't even bother to br nice when they tell him they won't cover that. It happened a) at a track, b) because of improper installation/calibration of c) a non-street-legal modification.

The intake manifold, valve covers, and engine covers are all pretty much gone. Nitrous backfire is what caused it, not a burnout. He fired it way too early....
